the top left corner image shows the number of marijuana related arrests in the united states. it is clear that the number has increased over the past few years.the bottom left image shows the number (in Thousands) of Americans Age 12 and Older Dependent on or Abusing those drugs. the drug and alcohol situation in mexico has become worse because of the drug cartels.the drug cartels are the main providers and shippers of drugs in mexico and they are the ones who ship illegal drugs to the u.s so they can be sold there.the bottom right corner shows the places where he drug cartels have their territory while the top right image shows that the number of drug related deaths as increased over the past few years.

Humans may even have an evolutionary pre-disposition to seek out narcotics, even though they can be addictive and damaging. Some people may have genes which make them more genetically prone to drug addiction than others. Even some animals - jaguars, lemurs and bees, for example - have a habit of getting high.

 

What i know about this topic is that there are hundreds of teens who are or have used drugs or alcohol. The majority of the time the parents don't notice what is happening or they won’t do anything about it. There are people who want to get away from these things so they get into rehabilitation others are sent because they were caught by the police and sentenced to rehabilitation. Alcohol does really bad things to the body like losing control and some drugs cause hallucination and an over dose can cost you your life. There are people that say that drugs and alcohol are the best things in life but i think that the best things in life come with a very high price.

Why I Choose This Topic

The reason I choose this topic is because i have seen people's lives being ruined because they were under the influence of drugs and alcohol.the majority of the people that i know that use drugs or drink alcohol and they were very good people.this happens to allot of people specifically teenagers.i have been asked to join people in drinking and in smoking but i have  turn them down because i know that the consequences will be bad.
